Are Siberian Huskies considered a dangerous breed and should I allow my 3 infants in the same house as one?

This dog does seem well behaved, but my wife is trying to stop me taking my Children up to my parents farm because there is a person there who was charged with manslaughter and served 3 years, although the coroners report said that he did not actually Kill anyone, it was an accident and that he was not even holding the weapon. She also says she wont allow them to come up because a farm is a dangerous place, but my sister has brought up 2 Children there and we only keep horses. I would be with my children all the time anyway and all the farm equipment is stored in lockable barns, is this unreasonable of Her?
