Valve seals do not fit on my valves?

ok i had a blown head gasket took them off them then i found out that one had a crak so my uncle had a couple of head on his shop for a chevy and told me to use them so i look to make sure that they were the same they looked the same but when it came to putting the valve seals on the valve it turns out that the valves are a little tiker that the ones from the set i measure the valves and they are 3/8 thick and the seals are 5/16 so i just need to know what to aks for when i go to the auto parts i tryed to use the valves from my old heads but they are very lose on these ones

Breville Wizz Stainless Plus? anyone?

my partner just bought me a breville mixing wand.. its a multi function mixer.. i already have a food processor and my son is almost at the age where i dont puree much for him. but i still use it once a weekish.. i know i will use the hand wand instead most of the time. its pretty sweet looking. but before i open it up i want to know if the whisk function is good. its all i really need it for. if its not gonna whisk, beat and cream the things i need properly, id rather save the money for a good table mixer and just use my big food processor.. i dont bake that often, so as long as it does the job for making frosting, cheesecakes, meringue.. things like that. anyone have a handheld whisker/wand like this?? its not a "hand mixer" with the two prongs.. its one big whisk with a moter. that also purifys and chops.

Should we bring another cat into the home?

A family friend's cat had kittens several weeks ago, and they're outdoor cats. Currently, we have a "senior" dog and a two year old cat (who came from the same household as the kittens, and is very spoiled). The cat was an...unexpected family addition, but we've enjoyed having his smart-but-grumpy personality, and the friendship that he and the mellow "princess" dog have is adorable. Lately, he's been playing less and less, and he will just meow loudly for no reason. We umed that he was sick, but he went right back to his former spunkiness when he saw cats on television. Now, we think it could be lonliness. Should we bring another cat/kitten into the home, since the barn cats would probably die anyway? Would that unnerve the cat, or make the dog feel neglected? Refrigerator ice question?

I have 4 refrigerators and 2 ice machines that all have the same problem. They make ice but the ice at the bottom of the tray freezes into a solid lump and is not usable without removing the tray and breaking the ice with a hammer. I first thought that frequent opening of the door affected the ice, but some are rarely opened. I do live in a warm climate but the top ice is being made and not thawing. All friges & machines are clean and well ventilated. The temp is right on all. Any ideas????

Bundled software not part of the order.?

My pc manufactuer/seller has told me that because a program which they sent me as bundled ( already downoaded on to the pc when I bought it new ) was not on a disk it was therefore regarded as not replaceable by them for free under the guarantee. They refuse to send me a re-placemant disk unless I am prepared to pay for it, even though everything is still under guarantee. ( It seems the program is not available, by now at least, as a free download from Microsoft, it's originators.) Can you please tell me if they are right to take this attitude? (Incidentally the program was causing me problems with Outlook Express, which is why I uninstalled it. Following other changes to my settings I'd now like to know if the problem will recur if I reinstal it. I suspect it would not cause me problems in future, but I don't want to pay for it if, obviously, in case it does.)

A hert(z?) is a measurement of cycles per second. So the reason GHz doesn't accurately measure performance across completely different CPUs is because it only measures how quickly it runs through its cycles; it has nothing to do with what the actual cycles are and what each one of them can do.

Is there a way to open a window that has been glued shut?

If it is Elmer's Carpenter's Glue, then just keeping the area saturated with water may help. Elmer's Carpenter's Glue isn't made for outdoor projects because it's not waterproof. If you think it's Elmer's glue, the water may do the trick. If the glue isn't Elmer's Carpenter's Glue, you're likely wasting your time with the water. If you can get a small bit of the glue free from the window, you may be able to test it in a few solvents to see if any of them are able to soften it up or dissolve it. Then, depending on the solvent, you may be able to use it to soak the bottom of the window to get the glue to release. Your wife's idea probably isn't feasible. If you could pour water under the window, it wouldn't be stuck in the first place. Let's hope there's just glue on the bottom and not on the sides too! Be careful if you try a heat gun! You could either break the gl with the heat or start a fire! If none of these tactics work, you may just have to keep working a thin blade knife of some kind between the sill plate and the window to "break" the glue seal. If you can get in touch with the previous owner, you can ask them what material was used. I'm out of ideas for now. I wish you luck with this project!

Please help me! These are my first ones. I planted them two weeks ago dirt ground with mulch on the top. I dug a deep hole left the soil they came in, loosened the roots and as soon as I watered them they started to wilter. The bottom leaves did. Then I didn't water them for a day and still no progress. They started to come back last week I was watering them every other day along with the rest of my flowers in the flower bed. The issue is the age of your house and the detail of your woodwork. I live in a house from the 40s, not a time known for woodwork, so I've replaced. I grew up in a Victorian, circa 1900, keep the woodwork. My brother lives in a 70s style home, ditch the woodwork. My Grandmother lived in a house in which the woodwork was all forest pine and hand carved, save it. Surgery When Pregnant.?

Ok, on the 18th of May I got bit by a cat. On the 19th I was admitted to the hospital for severe infection, my hand was huge and I had red streaking up my arm. The next day on the 20th I had emergency surgery to remove the infection, they did do a urine pregnancy test and it was negative. Hubby and I stopped trying (after a year) and we knew it was impossible since we only did the baby dance once (no where close to ovulation). So, the day after surgery I had some bleeding, but it was very light and thought it was AF coming. Three days ago I realized I never got my period, took a test and WHAM I'm pregnant! We're so excited, but has anyone ever experienced something like this? We're concerned since I had general anasthesia and I took Percocet for the 4 days I was in the hospital. I would have lost my hand if I did not have the surgery. Doctor says it was before organ development so I should be ok. Was everything ok w/ your pregnancies?

Ok so, my friend of 5 years came down to the city she used to reside in but has now moved away from due to studies etc. I haven't seen here in like 7 months. She and our other friend made plans to meet up today and I was invited. I didn't have a means of transport to get there, so this very same friend offered to fetch me from my place. But. Nothing happened. She and my other friend went ahead with their plans and she didn't even let me know whether she'd fetch me or not, or what's going on. If she couldn't make it to fetch me, she could've atleast TOLD me. Or should I have phoned to find out what's the story? My pride got in the way there, I mean she did tell me she'll organise the transport for me, so I was waiting for her to confirm. Phoning to find out about the transport would make me seem like I'm begging to be taken so I avoided it. I haven't seen her for 7 whole months and she makes no effort whatsoever to meet me, I doubt she'll even come over to visit. I'm not gonna ask her about it, coz i'll seem like a whiner and she'd only come to see me the next time coz of my complaints about not seeing her, just to shut me up. I want her to come around to visit because she WANTS to see me, not because I nagged and whined about her not visiting. I want her to make some sort of effort. It's like she just doesn't give a damn about meeting me anymore and her other friend is more important to her. It hurts. Am I now the outcast in this group? Try maybe 2-3 minutes with the text book and then just do without it. I must say you have a very bad way of addressing your problems. There is no way that they are just going to stop what they're doing and apologize after you scare the CRAP out of them. I was on paxil for about 4 months when i decided to stop taking it. It was not really helpin me much with my anxiety. Is it ok that i stoppeed takin it without talkin to my doctor first?
