Would you say that Danny Elfman is a better or worse composer than Tchaikovsky?

My bet is on Elfman, his work on such films as Batman Returns and Spiderman 2 have a subtle emotional resonance that you won't even find in some of Tchaikovsky's better works such as 1812 Overture. What do you think?
