Should we play with our puppy inside her corral or make her be in there all by herself?

We have a 9 week old puppy and she has a corral in our living room to limit her access to the rest of the house. We don't want her to feel like she's being punished when she's in there so we play with her inside the corral.....but we also don't want her to feel like we always have to be in there with her. Any advice?
