People who know music, please help!?

ok, for us history, i need a song that somehow, someway represents america. like the examples he used were: pink houses (john mellancamp) , no handlebars (flobots), fortunate one(ccr), american soldier (toby keith), hands held high (linkin parK), and one girl did where is the love (black eyes peas) so it doesn't have to be directly about america. and i like older stuff, but i'm not really into springstein or billy joel, lol. so maybe something newer, or just anything you an think of. so if you have anything i could use, it would much appreciated!! thank you!! :)
