Why is it that every time a bedbug is found in mattress in Middle East, Christians think Armageddon is near ?

I know I'm being cute, but I'm doing it to make a point. In 2006 when Israel and Hezbollah were fighting, some thought Armageddon was near. The same thing happened when Russia fueled Iran's nuclear power plant last August.
